Text | The following information has been collected from many sources, from the "Hall of Records" at Annapolis, Md., the Pa. Archives, the National archives the Maryland Historical Society, The Penna. Historical Society, the Frederick County, Md. Historical Society, the Frederick County Md. Court Court House, Maryland Church records, and from various other sources, from many people such as Joan Waters, of Harrisburg, Pa., Nancy Kiddoo of Whippany, N.J., and from Donald Gradelees, of Rancine, Wis. a decendant of George W. Mort, a brother to our Mathias Mort. George W. Mort married Mary Craig in Bedford County, Pa. in 1820 and then went on to the Territory of Ohio. Donald Gradelees once published a Mort newsletter fom Rancine Wis. which I has the honor of reading and found it quite interesting. I want to thank every one in their corporation in making this Mort History possible to put together. Lucille (Mort) CarberrY |
