Note

Sister of Simon who was thought killed by her husband, who disappeared and never found after her death. Notice she was only 19 yrs at death.

According to Betty (Mort) Mumper: "This is another sad one. She married a Heffelfinger and moved to Newville. He murdered her ( cut her throat), and it was judged a suicide; and the lousy scoundrel went free. After her death at age 19, he disappeared never to be heard from. Grandma Mort told me about her. They found her in the attic with a knife at the wrong side and bloody rags stuck behind boards. Some investigation they did in those days!"
