| Note | Pre-school years lived in Wormleysburg, PA ( on South side of Susguehanna River across from Harrisburg); moved across the river to the big city when about 6 years old; graduated 1944 from Wm. Penn High School; enlisted in U.S. Army Air Force age 17 in 1944; discharged as air cadet in November 1945; spent nine months in Army Specialized Training Program at Gettysburg College prior to active duty; moved to Baltimore, MD in 1945 attended University of Baltimore; graduated and married in 1949 to Rosalie Long in Baltimore County, MD. Moved to Norfolk, VA. then to Philadelphia and finally to Ambler Pa in 1952. In 1981 Rosalie died, and in 1982 Carson married Sally Coldren Markin. They lived on Edgewood Dr. in Ambler until Carson and Sally moved to Towamencin Twp. also in Montgomery County, PA. Sally and Carson began many years of vacation travel throughout the entire United States and beyond. Early retirement in 1989. After seven wonderful years on Edgewood Dr. in Ambler, Sally and Carson moved into a retirement community (Walnut Meadows) in Towamencin Twp. Lived there for 17 years before moving to "Shannondell" near Valley Forge, PA. where retirement living was at it's very best. |
